At the Deutscher Entwicklungspreis 2023 Berlin-based studios and associations were able to win three of the 14 categories.
The winners are:
- Best Casual Game: Thronefall (Grizzly Games)
- Best Game Beyond Entertainment: Duru - Über Mulle und Depressionen (Twisted Ramble Games)
- Special Prize for Social Commitment: Loot für die Welt
