New media funding awards over 1.5 million euros to 16 games, XR and series projects

In its second funding session of the year, MBB's New Media Funding supports 16 projects from the fields of games, XR experiences and serial formats with a total of 1.5 million euros.

Among the games: the puzzle game Projekt Garden (AT) and the co-op shooter Black Ocean are being funded with sums of 300,000 and 200,000 euros respectively. In terms of innovative audiovisual content, the new projects from AnotherWorld VR, the interactive VR experience Resonanz, and NowHere Media, the location-based VR experience Dark Rooms (AT), will be supported.

Black Ocean - Point Blank Game Studios
200.000 Euro Production funding
In this roguelike co-op shooter, players have to complete missions as a team with an exploration tank on an inhospitable planet and survive against enemy aliens and opposing mercenary troops.

TellMe (AT) - Nukuna Interactive
116.000 Euro Production funding
In the interactive picture book app for primary school children on the subject of archaeology, the story is experienced in a playful way through the main character Jo and her robin. A variety of interactions and tasks invite children to search, collect, discover and learn.

Summer Camp - Telescope Game Studios
80.000 Euro Development funding
A nostalgic narrative party game for single-player and multiplayer full of pop-cultural references to the 1990s and early 2000s.

Tackle for Loss - Daniel Wichterich
39.500 Euro Production funding
In this top-down action game, players take on the role of a former American football pro who is plagued by memory loss and violent outbursts following a head injury.
