Gaming isn´t just about fun. Gaming is so much more! Medienpreis Games is an Award for serious journalism about a topic we all love: „COMPUTERGAMES“. Medienpreis Games supports the german speaking Game-journalism and rewards people for their excellent reports. The Award reflects the growth of information about the gaming industry in our society. It shows the variety of themes and perspectives about the perhaps most outstanding entertainment medium of the 21. century. Journalists should be encouraged to continue writing ambitious, investigative, impressive, serious and funny articles, produce videos and audio contributions about „Games“.
The Medienpreis Games is the first Award for distinguished computer games-journalism. The very first Award ceremony is part of the #gamesweekberlin and will be held on 23. April 2018 in several categories. Articles for the journalism award can as of now be submitted.
The Medienpreis Games is organised in cooperation with Booster Space, Matthias Huber from the Süddeutsche Zeitung and students of the university of Potsdam.
