The German Computer Games Awards pursue the aim of higlighting the most relevant German produced computer and video games, in terms of innovation, culture, education, but of course also including fun.
The 470,000 euros endowment is half donated by game (association of the German games industry) and the BVMI (German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure). It represents the highest bequest in Germany. The sum is divided into 14 different categories, among them 3 international ones.
