After a two-month hiatus, the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action will resume accepting applications for computer games funding at the turn of the year.
Since the turn of the year, German game developers can again submit applications for grants to the Ministry of Economics: The application freeze has been lifted. With date of 27 December 2022, the Ministry has also published a new, now third 'Funding Call' (PDF), which precisely breaks down the requirements and conditions.
Compared to the previous practice, there are only discreet adjustments - with the exception of an obligatory advance funding consultation. A practical checklist is also intended to prevent important information and documents from being missing or incomplete.
